The Sister's Committee consists of women from all different backgrounds who work to cater to the needs of everyone, especially sisters, who attend our masjid. There are two major roles that the Committee plays:   ·        Work in conjunction with the Shura Council and various planning committees on major masjid-wide events, such as open houses, new Muslim classes, Ramadan and Eid activities, educational seminars, and fundraisers. This requires us to do volunteer recruitment, marketing, beautification of our masjid, outreach as well as many other tasks.   ·        In addition to major masjid-wide events, the Sister's Committee also coordinates education, social service, and community service projects, specifically for sisters.  Some of the events we have held include an anger management workshop, a janaza-ghusl training, a parenting workshop, a women's health seminar, created a team to participate in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure walk, Crop Walk, collecting items for new refugees to the area, volunteered at Humanitarian Day, and hosted various scholars to help us gain more knowledge.
