IACC Fundraising Dinner - March 3rd 2012
at 7 pm at Embassy Suites Hotel Frisco
Keynote speaker : Imam Siraj Wahhaj

"To finish first, you must first finish.”

Dear Muslims of Collin County, it was once a dream to have a complete Islamic Center that caters and fulfills the growing demands and needs of the 21st century Muslims in USA. With the help of Allah, you started this journey a few years ago. At present, we are almost there. However, to realize our full potential, we need one final major push to cross the finish line, and jump the hurdle. “There is no bigger waste of time than doing 90% of what is necessary.”

Until now, you have always been at the forefront. We shouldn't back down now. Let's pull together at this important time, the end time, when things count most. The Hadith says, its the last words of an individuals life that can swing the balance of his lifelong efforts. If a person dies while 'La ilaha illallahu' (There is no God, but Allah) are his final words, he enters paradise. This Hadith teaches us that the end is what counts most.

Let's race and compete for good deeds. Who will reach that 'finish line' first? “Don’t be content with doing only your duty. Do more than your duty. It’s the horse that finishes a neck ahead that wins the race.”

  Hadith of the Day

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter, and he who conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah would conceal his faults in the world and in the Hereafter. Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother
