Technology Committee consists of volunteers dedicated to maintain IACC Technology infrastructure. The mission statement is to effectively use the technology to support IACC’s key business functions and services. This mission supports the following vision:
· Interaction with convenience
· Simplify access to services and information
· Masjid is a click away
· Always Available
The Technology Committee, with the help of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Allah and dedication of its volunteers, completed the following initiatives over past couple of years:
· IACC’s website upgrade for improved look and feel and enhanced services
· Real-time streaming of IACC Shura election results
· Live streaming of Taraweeh prayers and lectures
· Online Volunteer Bank to register volunteers for various IACC activities and programs
· Online donations for Masjid Operations, expansion, Zakat and Sadqah
· Development of software to track pledges during IACC’s fund raising programs
· Installation of TV monitors at IACC to display announcements
The next initiative of the Committee is to bring online membership and enhanced online donation services to the community. The plan is to launch the new website with expanded services by the end of this year. The services will consist of the following:
· Online membership
· Make online payments against pledges
· Make online donations
· Review donation history
· Real-time notification of donations
· Social networking capabilities – integration with Facebook and Twitter
We are always seeking dedicated volunteers with technology background to help us in the initiatives.
